Trabadelo
24522 León
Spain

It has a simple and rural style, in keeping with its surroundings and the traditional architecture of the Bierzo region. It is believed that its original structure may have Romanesque influences, although it has been modified over the centuries.

This chapel served as a place of devotion for the local inhabitants, and its invocation to Our Lady of the Assumption reinforces its link with Marian religiosity, common in many parts of Spain. Throughout its history, it has undergone various restorations.

The chapel is part of the town's cultural heritage and its conservation is important for local identity. Although the interior decoration is modest compared to larger churches, it retains religious images and liturgical elements of importance to the community, including an image of the Virgin of the Assumption.

At its altar, the inhabitants of Trabadelo celebrate some of the most important festivities in the religious calendar, especially the feast in honor of the Virgin of the Assumption, on August 15.
